The Vote Home campaign was formed before the 2016 Federal Election to demonstrate community commitment to ending Australia's housing crisis, and to secure firm policy commitments from major parties.
It was a collaboration between Homelessness Australia, National Shelter, Australian Council of Social Service (ACOSS )and Community Housing Industry Association (CHIA).
The campaign generated over 40,000 signatures and significant media coverage calling for a national strategy to end Australia's housing and homelessness crisis.
It was successful in influencing both the ALP and the Greens to adopt key elements of the campaign platform.
